Questions

How are the names generated?

From your keywords plus related words, using the patterns behind well-known app names: compounds (HabitLab), -ly/-ify endings (Spotify), prefixes (GetFit), blends (Pinterest), short forms (Flickr), invented words and rhymes. Each name is scored for length, how easy it is to say and how well it matches your idea.

How accurate is the domain check?

Your browser asks public DNS first, then the registry itself (RDAP) for .com, .app and .ai. .io and .co have no public registry lookup, so a name with no DNS is shown as “likely available”. Premium or reserved names can still cost more — the buy link shows the final price.

What does the App Store check mean?

We search the App Store for apps whose name starts with your idea. A clash doesn't forbid the name, but it makes ranking harder and can raise trademark questions.

Is my idea sent anywhere?

Only the words needed for the checks: your keywords go to Datamuse for related words, and each name goes to DNS, the domain registry and Apple's search. Nothing is stored on our servers.

Should my app name contain a keyword?

It can help: Apple indexes the app name for search. A brandable name plus a keyword subtitle (“Habito: Habit Tracker”) is a common pattern — and keeps your name short.

Know which keywords you can actually win

QuickAso Pro scans thousands of App Store keywords and shows the ones where small apps rank — with difficulty, downloads and the exact competitors, in 30 countries.
